Dr. Rocket is a Seattle-based alt-rock project by Nick Carver. His approach is chameleonic at times, fading from crunchy punk-inspired pop (“I Can’t Seem To Win”), to old-timey country-crooner (“Boat Don’t Float”), to avant-garde, avian anthem (“I Am A Bird”), though, is often rooted in Carver’s love of the timeless sound of 60s and 70s pop.
Dr. Rocket has collaborated with drummer Andrew Katz of Carseat Headrest, garnered radio play from KEXP (DJ Shannon) and Space 101 (Mitch Etter), and has also been featured on blogs such as Obscure Sound and Iggy Magazine.
Presently, Carver is recording the third and final chapter of his forthcoming album, "Buoy," slated for release in late 2024.
